Review A few pics from Lin Scott and Pete Appleton from the previous Music of Breath weekend. At the barn it's breakfast time. Gav's discussing a few playing techniques before we get off to the yurt. Each day started around 9am and finished 7pm - 8pm... ![]() ![]() Each morning began with a workshop in the yurt. This covered breathing exercises, various playing techniques, field plans for the day and even a bit of singing for good measure. Really good fun and this is where we learnt heck of a lot over the weekend... ![]() First trip on Dartmoor for some field recordings of our playing... ![]() Gaving handing out recording equipment before splitting up to find our own space to play... ![]() The top of Bench Tor which is said to be an old high burial site... ![]() Ant in search of somewhere to play... ![]() Ant playing some didje for a nice change... ![]() More Ant... ![]() Gavin and Les discussing sound ![]() Gav & Les taking in the view... ![]() Lin's pic of the grass... ![]() Pete Appleton taking in the view... ![]() Pete's view... ![]() Pete didjin' away... ![]() Pete Green finds his niche before getting on down with some didje... ![]() Pete chilling with the didje. Pete really surprised himself with some great playing in one of the little caves on Bench Tor. That's what Music of Breath was all about, taking your playing a little sideways to hear what happens... ![]() Here we all are sat down for a workshop by the stream. This was our last workout of the weekend before hitting the local pub for a well deserved beer or two... ![]() I'm sure I'm speaking for Les, Pete G and Pete A when I say the weekend was an amazing experience. We got so much out of the workshops each day and the places we visited on the moor were inspirational! Big thanks to Gavin for all the energy he put into teaching us how to get more from our playing and allso big thanks to Becky for feeding us each day with some top grub! See you there this year...
